# GEO for content teams: write the pages AI cites

Snezzi makes GEO practical for content teams: it shows which questions AI answers without you, writes or refreshes the page that fills the gap, and tracks whether AI starts citing it.

Quick answer

## What is GEO for a content team?

GEO (generative engine optimization) means writing pages that AI engines can understand, trust and cite when buyers ask questions. For a content team it changes the brief: start from the question AI answers badly, not from search volume alone.

- Clear answers, checked facts, fair comparisons and named sources get cited most.
- Refreshing a page that is slipping often beats writing a new one.

Sound familiar?

## More posts don't mean AI cites you

Most calendars are built from keyword tools. Here is what that leaves out.

- ### Topics picked from volume alone

With Snezzi: Topic ideas from tracked prompts where you are absent, then keyword and AI search volume.

- ### Drafts that miss product facts

With Snezzi: Brand Context and your policy file shape every draft, and an AI reviewer flags breaches.

- ### Claims nobody checked

With Snezzi: Each claim marked supported or unsupported against its sources; failed drafts cannot publish.

- ### Old posts slipping unnoticed

With Snezzi: A weekly scan flags pages losing clicks or AI citations for a refresh you approve.

In practice

## How an article gets made

From the lost question to a published page, with an editor in charge at the two points that matter.

1. ### 01 The brief starts from the answer

Aim an article at up to 5 tracked prompts. The planner sees how each prompt is answered today, which competitors are named and which sources are cited, then runs a fresh web search and pulls People Also Ask questions before it writes the brief.

Turn on brief review and drafting waits for an editor to approve or edit the brief. Refreshes always stop for that review.

2. ### 02 Drafts that pass review, or don't ship

After writing, a review step marks each claim supported, unsupported or unverified, with the source quote. Drafts that fail are flagged for revision and every publish path refuses them.

Editors work in a rich-text editor with comments and tracked suggestions, and 50 versions are kept per article. The plan includes 15 articles a month.

3. ### 03 Publish, share, refresh

Publish as a draft or live to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Sanity or Strapi, or commit to an Astro or TinaCMS site through Git. WordPress and Shopify libraries can be imported, and imports do not count toward the 15.

Turn an article into posts for your own Buffer, Postiz, PostSyncer or Zernio account, then watch the refresh queue for pages that start to slip.

Your buyers

## Questions your buyers ask AI

Content teams own the how-to, definition and comparison questions. Here is a sample set for an HR software company.

1. 1 How-to “How should a remote team choose an HR platform?” Needs a clear checklist and a named source
2. 2 Comparison “Gusto vs Rippling for a 30-person company?” Needs a fair comparison page with prices
3. 3 Definition “What is employer of record and when do I need it?” Needs a short, quotable definition
4. 4 Recommendation “Best HR software for startups hiring abroad?” Needs proof: reviews, customers, numbers

## Do it yourself, or have it done for you

Same platform either way. Your editors run it, or our writers do while your team approves briefs and drafts.

- 200 buyer questions tracked on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode
- 15 articles a month, published to your CMS after approval

- ### "AI copy sounds like AI"

Drafts follow your Brand Context and policy file, and an editor approves the brief and the draft. You can rewrite any section from a comment.

- ### "Only 15 articles?"

Each one is researched, aimed at tracked prompts and claim-checked. Fifteen cited pages beat ninety that nobody quotes.

- ### "Our CMS is fussy"

Seven CMSs publish natively, most as drafts first, so your normal review in the CMS still applies.

What is GEO in content marketing?

GEO (generative engine optimization) is writing content that AI engines quote and cite. It favors clear answers, real facts, fair comparisons and named sources. It works best on top of normal SEO basics.

How is GEO different from SEO writing?

SEO writing targets a keyword and a ranking. GEO starts from the question a buyer asks AI and checks what the answer cites today. The page needs to be the clearest, most factual answer to that question.

How does Snezzi pick what to write?

Topic ideas mix your sitemap, tracked prompts where you are not named, and keywords sorted by AI search volume and search volume. Signals also ranks article plays by the goal you set.

Does Snezzi write full articles?

Yes, with live research, People Also Ask questions, FAQs, metadata and a cover image. The plan includes 15 articles a month. An editor on your team approves the brief and the draft.

Can it refresh old posts?

Yes. A weekly scan combines Search Console decline with lost AI citations and flags pages to refresh. Nothing is rewritten without sign-off.

Which CMSs can we publish to?

WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Sanity, Strapi, Astro and TinaCMS. WordPress and Shopify articles can also be imported so existing posts sit in the same workflow.

Can freelancers or clients edit without seeing everything?

Yes. The content viewer role sees only Pages, Articles and the calendar, and can edit and comment on articles. It cannot open competitors, prompts or settings.
