Generate XML Sitemaps from URLs

An XML sitemap is a structured file that helps search engines like Google and Bing find and crawl all the important pages on your website. It follows the sitemaps.org protocol and is typically placed in the root directory of your website.

XML sitemaps support up to 50,000 URLs per file and must not exceed 50MB uncompressed. If your site has more than 50,000 URLs, you need to create a sitemap index file that references multiple individual sitemap files.

The <changefreq> tag tells search engines how often the page content typically changes. Options range from 'always' to 'never'. It is a hint to search engines, not a directive - they may crawl more or less frequently regardless of this setting.

Priority is a value from 0.0 to 1.0 that indicates the relative importance of pages on your site. Use 1.0 for your homepage and most important pages, 0.5 for regular content pages, and lower values for less important pages. The default is 0.5.

Upload the generated file as sitemap.xml to your website's root directory (e.g., example.com/sitemap.xml). Then reference it in your robots.txt file by adding 'Sitemap: https://example.com/sitemap.xml'. You can also submit it directly in Google Search Console.
